Item Power scaling

An item’s stats in the game files are base values at item power 0. They are not what a tooltip shows, and they are not comparable between items on their own.

The clearest proof is that T4_ARMOR_CLOTH_FEY and T8_ARMOR_CLOTH_FEY, the Feyscale Robe at both ends of its range, carry byte-identical stats: armor 54, magic resistance 69, crowd control resistance 20, health 0, energy 0. Everything separating an Adept’s robe from an Elder’s is the one field that differs: @itempower, 775 against 1175.

The formula

pool   = globalBase × share[slot]
shown  = (base + pool) × progression^(itemPower / 100) − pool
StatglobalBaseshare tableprogression (armor)
Armor, Magic Resistance100armorshare1.03 per 100 IP
Crowd Control Resistance100ccrshare1.0564
Max Health1200hitpointsshare1.06
Max Energy120energyshare1.0918

The 1200 and 120 are the character’s own base health and energy, the pools every equipment slot takes a share of. Without them health and energy cannot be reproduced at all, because the item itself stores zero for both.

The shares explain some odd-looking rules

armorshare and ccrshare put 1.0 on the chest and 0 everywhere else. That is not a quirk of the wiki: in Albion a helmet and a pair of boots genuinely give no armor and no crowd control resistance. Health splits 0.25 / 0.5 / 0.25 across head / chest / shoes, and energy 0.5 / 0.25 / 0.15.

Regeneration is not a stat of its own. It is the slot’s share of the pool ticking at the character’s rate: 12 health per 1200 (1%/s) and 1.5 energy per 120. An item’s own flat health does not regenerate, which is why a sword grants Max Health but no regeneration line.

Worked example

Adept’s Feyscale Robe, item power 775, armor base 54, chest share 1.0:

pool  = 100 × 1.0                       = 100
shown = (54 + 100) × 1.03^7.75 − 100
      = 154 × 1.2574 − 100              = 93.6  →  94

Verified

Against five in-game tooltips: a T3 leather chest at 600 IP, the Feyscale Robe at 775 and 1175, and the Broadsword at 700 and 1100. Every displayed value exact, including which lines the game does not show.
